My sister needed to find a Houston lawyer to represent her in a trial. It’s a good thing that I know a lot of Houston lawyers because I was able to recommend one to her right away. She said that the lawyer lived too far from her home and that she needed an attorney that lives near so she can consult with him faster. I gave her the number of another lawyer that lived near her area and she contacted him right away.
A few weeks after, I didn’t hear about my sister’s case anymore and decided to ask her how it went. She said that she won the case and thanked me for recommending the lawyer to her. She was curious and asked me how I knew so many lawyers in Houston. I was hesitant to tell her at first, but she insisted that I tell her. I told her that I used to date a Houston lawyer a few years ago. I dated him for quite a while and got to know his colleagues from the Houston law firm he worked for. She sneered after hearing my story and I told her to not to make fun of me or tease me.
